Scenic Rim Region Heritage Network

During 2011 we saw the establishment of the Scenic Rim Region Heritage Network,

A group comprising representatives of the Six museums of the Scenic Rim and involving

Helen Pithie the Museum Development of the S E Queensland and western corridor coordinator

who has proved to be extremley valuable as a mentor to the group .

A project to produce a joint brochure covering all 6 regional museums as a tourism destination has now been produced.

The Heritage Group meet every quarter to discuss activities and pass on experiences.

The group meetings are rotated around the various museums.

The next meeting of the group will be on 30th May 2012 at Beaudesert Museum

where the agenda will address grants that are available for Historical Societies and Museums
